In order to lead and promote fashion industry and fashion trend consorting with American and European fashion Advanced cities such as Paris, Milan, New York and London has been holding fashion collection in order to produce world-renowned designers and promote fashion industry and take the van on the world’s fashion business.
Espousal of futuristic fashion cities in East-Asian countries Ever since 1990s, Tokyo, Beijing, Hong Kong and various other East-Asian cities started to claim to stand for a futuristic fashion cities themselves and have been endeavoring to PR their fashion products to the world. As for Tokyo Collection, it has already become one of the 5 biggest fashion collections in the world.
Conquest over weakness and upbringing of seoul as world-class fashion city Despite the high-quality fabric, excellent designers, and outstanding sewing technology. Korea has been undervalued Because of its image as a middle-class OEM exporting country. In addition, sporadic fashion collections held by SFAA, KFDA and NWS have substantially disintegrated the fashion business. The business competence of those collections was very poor Seoul reunified various fashion collections into single ‘Seoul Collection’ in order to refresh its image of fashion thus to make it one of the best collections and make the city itself as center of not only Asian Fashion, but also World Fashion.
From October 2000, with the full support from the Seoul City. Seoul Fashion Center(SFC) which is included in Seoul Business Agency (SBA) and Korea Fashion Association have been cooperation to hold Seoul Fashion Week twice every year.
